Pounta Quai Reconstruction Approved

The Attiki Regional Council has approved a 700,000-euro reconstruction plan for the Pounta coastal zone thus completing the reconstruction of the Poros waterfront.
The works along the waterfront include the road and adjacent public squares.
“The decision to fund important works projects under the Islands Regional Area indicates that the Attiki Regional Authority actively supports the development of our islands,” Dimitris Katsikaris, deputy regional prefect for the islands, said in a statement. “The Pounta reconstruction completes the Poros waterfront [project], from one end of the town to the other.”
Other area projects approved include maintenance of road and street lighting for Troezena (73,000 euros), construction of a helipad and access road on Hydra (850,000), and reconstruction of the Spetses coastal road from Dapia to the Anargyreios School (2,200,000 euros).
